You can find Unque Steel Traders at 41406 Sadar Patrappa Road, right by the Slaughter House Road intersection. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s always packed with people and gets very loud during business hours. Our shop is full of various steel products piled up high against the walls. It’s a dusty environment and we usually have grease on our hands by the time lunchtime rolls around. We’ve been trading steel in this neighborhood for a long time. The street is quite narrow and the big trucks often have a hard time getting in and out, but we somehow make it work every day. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that to show people. It’s just a warehouse and a small, cramped office space where we handle the bills and orders. Most of the people who buy from us are local builders or small shop owners from nearby blocks. We spend our mornings unloading new stock and the rest of the day trying to keep it all organized. It’s hard physical work and the heat inside the building can be quite a lot during the summer months. We don’t really do any big advertising or marketing. People just find us because we’ve been here on SP Road forever. Sometimes we sit out front when it’s quiet just to watch the chaos of the market. It’s an honest way to make a living.
