Universal Stores Home Appliance

Our shop is at 235 Race Course Road. It is a pretty good spot because there are always people walking by. We have all kinds of home appliances squeezed into the store. You will see fridges, washing machines, and small mixers lining the walls. Universal Stores Home Appliance has been part of the street for a while. Usually, there is a bit of a mess with all the cardboard boxes from new stock arriving. We spend a lot of time unboxing things or showing people how a particular stove works. It is not a big corporate showroom. It feels more like a local shop where you can just walk in and ask a question. We have a few guys who help with moving the heavy stuff onto the delivery rickshaws. The floor is tiled but usually has some scuff marks from moving the appliances around. We keep a small desk in the back for the receipts and the accounts. The phone rings a lot with people asking about prices or if we have a certain brand in stock. In the evenings, the street lights come on and the road gets even busier. We just stay open until the last customer leaves. It is a simple life of selling things that people need for their kitchens and homes. We don't do anything fancy, just standard retail work every day.
