The office is tucked away in Pavan Paradise, which is at Flat No 2E over in Thyagarajnagar. If you know Bangalore, you know how those streets in the 1st Block can get during rush hour. We are on 1st Cross, right near Sai Mandir Road. It is a bit of a residential feel here, which is nice compared to the big glass buildings downtown. Being part of the Godrej Saralee group means we deal with a lot of household items and bodycare stuff. Boxes of soaps and cleaners are always being moved around. It is mostly just a bunch of us keeping track of inventory and making sure things get to where they need to go. We spend a lot of time on the phone or working on the computer in the back room. The Sai Mandir nearby is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. Sometimes it gets a little cramped with all the paperwork and samples, but we make it work. It’s a pretty straightforward operation without any corporate fluff. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure the orders are sorted out. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we know the neighborhood well. It is a decent place to work, even if the stairs can be a bit much when you’re carrying a heavy load of files. There is always a lot to do, but we keep at it.
