We are located right off the busy Hosur Road in Bommanahalli, specifically at 13/1. If you have ever driven down this stretch of road in Bangalore, you know exactly how hectic it gets with all the trucks and people heading toward the industrial zones. At Universal Steel Trading Company, we deal with all sorts of steel products, so our place is essentially a big storage yard for heavy metal. We have beams, bars, and rods piled up in different sections. It certainly isn't a clean job by any means. Your hands get covered in grime the second you touch anything in the yard. We spend our days weighing the metal and helping load it onto the small trucks that come through. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our files and try to get away from the noise for a few minutes. The Bangalore weather is usually decent, but when it rains, the yard can get quite muddy and difficult to navigate. We have been here for a good amount of time and have watched the new flyovers come up while the traffic just keeps getting worse. Most of our customers are local builders or small manufacturers who just need a few tons of steel at a time for their work. We don't do anything fancy or complicated here, we just trade steel and try to keep our inventory counts as accurate as possible. It’s hard work, but someone has to supply the metal for all the building.
