United Glass & Plywoods

Our shop, United Glass & Plywoods, is situated right near Chinmaya Mission Hospital on the 6th Main. We are specifically at Ramachandrappa Layout 3. It’s a busy little corner of the world. We have glass sheets leaning against the walls and stacks of plywood taking up most of the floor space. People use the hospital as a landmark to find us. We don't have a big marketing budget or a team of sales people. It’s just us here, cutting glass to size and loading plywood into small trucks. The dust from the wood gets everywhere, but that’s just part of the job. We see a lot of local contractors and homeowners who are fixing up their kitchens or windows. We try to be helpful without being pushy. If we have it in stock, we tell you. If we don't, we say that too. Ramachandrappa Layout is a nice enough place to work. We know the neighbors and the other shop owners around the 6th Main. Every day is pretty much the same routine of measuring, cutting, and carrying heavy stuff. It keeps us busy and the time goes by fast. We aren't trying to change the world, we are just selling glass and wood. It’s straightforward work for straightforward people. You can find us near the hospital if you ever need materials. We've got a lot of stories about this place over the years. Some days the traffic is so bad we can't even get our trucks out. But we make it work somehow.
