Ambar Agarabathi

We make our agarabathis near the Aadugudi Police Quarter in Koramangala. It’s a place that usually smells pretty good because of all the incense we have around. Ambar Agarabathi is a small local business. We don't have a big factory or anything like that. It’s mostly manual work, rolling and packing the sticks. We’ve been in this part of Koramangala for quite some time. People around here know us for the scents that drift out of our workspace. We don't spend money on big ads or fancy packaging. We just focus on making sure the sticks burn well and smell like they should. Our day is mostly spent dealing with raw materials like bamboo and different powders. It’s a dusty job, but we like it. Sometimes neighbors stop by to buy a few packets directly from us. We aren't trying to change the world, we just want to make something that people use in their homes every day. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the noise from the police quarters nearby. We keep things humble and just keep producing what we can. If you are walking around this part of Koramangala, you can probably follow your nose to find us. We're just here making our sticks and hoping people like the scent.
