Uniquemed Training And Placements is located near St. Johns Hospital in the Madivala Kalbadevi area. We are right across from the City Clinic at 16/17/1. The building is a bit cramped, but we use every bit of space for our classrooms and the small office area. Every day, students come in hoping to learn something that will help them get a job in a hospital or a clinic. We aren't a big university; it’s more of a practical place where people sit through lessons and practice their skills. The noise from the hospital traffic is constant, but you get used to it after a while. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to different medical centers to see if they need any new staff. Sometimes our computers are slow and the internet cuts out, which makes things difficult during training sessions. We aren't polished teachers with fancy suits; we’re just people who know the medical field and want to pass that on to others. Some students stay for a few weeks and others for months. It feels good when someone finally gets a placement and comes back to tell us about it. The office is usually a mess of resumes and certificates, but we know where everything is. It’s a busy little spot in a very crowded part of town. We try to help everyone who comes through the door as best as we can.
