Unifrax India Limited

We are located at 402 in Kailash Tower. If you know the area in Andheri East, you know Unifrax India is tucked right behind the STC Colony. It can be a real headache to find a parking spot around here on a Tuesday morning, so a lot of the staff just takes the train and walks over from the station. The building has seen better days but the elevator usually works fine for us. Inside our space on the fourth floor, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of filing cabinets that probably need to be organized better than they are. We spend most of the day on the phone or looking at computer screens. It gets a bit stuffy in the afternoons when the sun hits the windows, so we keep the fans going at full speed. You can hear the city noise and the planes from outside all day long. There’s a small shop downstairs where we get samosas and tea in the afternoon. It’s nothing like those high-tech offices you see in movies. It’s just a plain room with people trying to keep up with the paperwork and shipping schedules. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, which happens a lot in Mumbai, so we just wait it out and talk. It’s a decent place to work though, and being near the colony makes it feel a bit more like a neighborhood instead of just a cold business district. We’ve been here for a while now and the walls are covered in old notes.
