If you go down 9th Cross in Peenya, you will find us at Ganapathy Nagar, number 139/2. We do a lot of fabrication work here, and the sound of machines is pretty much the soundtrack to our days. It’s a gritty part of town, full of workshops and small units doing all sorts of mechanical stuff. We started out with just a few tools and have slowly added more over the years as we needed them to get the jobs done. It isn’t the cleanest job, you end up with grease on your hands and dust on your clothes by noon. We don’t have a front desk or a receptionist; if you walk in, you’ll probably just see one of us working on a piece of metal or checking a measurement with a tape. The space is a bit tight because we have a lot of materials stacked up in the corners, but we know where everything is. We deal with all kinds of local orders, some big and some very small. Sometimes a customer brings in a rough sketch on a piece of paper and we have to figure it out from there. It takes time and a bit of patience to get things right. The weather gets pretty warm inside the shed during the summer months. We just keep our heads down and get the work done. It’s a practical business for a practical neighborhood. We’ve been at this same spot long enough that the neighbors know us well and drop by.
