We are located out in Dasanapura Hobli at 51/1 A. This is where we make the biscuits. It is a big factory, not like a small neighborhood bakery. If you are anywhere near the gate, you can always smell the baking going on inside. It’s actually a pretty good smell to work around all day. The place is always busy with trucks coming in to drop off flour and sugar. Then other trucks take the finished boxes away to the city. We have a lot of people working here in different shifts. Some are on the mixing side and others are near the ovens or the packing lines. It's a lot of noise from the machines, so we have to speak up to be heard. We’ve been here for several years now. The floor gets quite warm because of the big industrial ovens, especially during the summer months. We have a canteen where we sit and take our breaks together. It’s a bit of a trek for many of us to get here every morning since it’s on the outskirts. We don't have much time for chatting when the lines are running fast. We just keep our heads down and make sure the packs are filled correctly. There is a lot of cleaning to do every evening because you can't have crumbs everywhere in a food place. It’s a steady job and we have a lot of regular workers who have been here since the start. It’s just factory life.
