Uday Pg

Uday Pg is located at 12 M R R Lane, which is in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. We are right on the S J P Road Cross near the police station. Having the police station nearby makes the area feel a bit more settled. The building is a typical place with several rooms for the guests. We spend a lot of our time making sure the water is running and the kitchen is getting the meals ready on time. It is a busy house. There is always someone coming or going, usually students or people working nearby. The lane can be a bit narrow, so it gets crowded when people park their scooters outside. We have a small common area where people sit and talk in the evenings. The noise from the main road drifts in, but the lane itself is okay. We do the cleaning and keep an eye on the gate. It is not like a hotel; it is more of a practical place for people to stay while they are doing their thing in the city. We have rules about the lights and the noise because everyone is living so close together. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble and we have to call the guy to come fix it. The food is simple, just what we would eat ourselves. Living and working at the PG means the day never really ends until everyone is back and the doors are locked for the night.
