We are U K Foods, located at Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar 41559. Our day starts long before the sun is up. We have to get the kitchen ready and wait for the delivery trucks to bring in the fresh bags of flour and crates of vegetables. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the machines and people shouting to be heard over the fans. We don't have a fancy storefront. Most of our work happens in the back where all the prep is done. The floor is usually a bit slippery from all the washing we do to keep things clean. We have a small team of workers who have been with us for years. We know each other's families and eat lunch together when we get a break. The building itself is just a regular concrete structure, nothing fancy to look at. We spent more money on our stoves than we did on the paint for the walls. We provide food for the local area, and people know they can come to us when they need something reliable. We don't use a lot of big words to describe what we do. We just make food and make sure it gets to where it needs to go. Sometimes the delivery bike won't start, or a bag of rice breaks, but we just deal with it and move on. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until night every single day.
