Turbo Chains

Running a place like Turbo Chains here on Sinhagad Road in Pune means dealing with a lot of noise and metal. We are located at number 39 in the Viswaneedam area. It is a part of town that always seems to be moving. The shop itself is filled with different types of chains and mechanical parts which can get a bit messy sometimes. Grease on the hands is just part of the daily routine for us. We spend a lot of time organizing the stock and talking to people who come in looking for specific sizes or links. The Pune heat can be quite something in the afternoons so we usually have the fan running at full speed. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is more of a working man’s shop with concrete floors and high shelves. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic stools when things are quiet. The traffic on Sinhagad Road never really stops so there is a constant hum of engines in the background. We have been in this spot for some time and the neighbors know us. Most of our customers are locals or people passing through who need something fixed or replaced right away. We just try to keep things honest and do the work that needs doing without much fuss. It is a straightforward business and that is how we like to keep it every day.
