Travel Mahi

We are up on the third floor of Baba Chambers on Richmond Road. If you know Bangalore, you know how the traffic gets around here, so we spend a lot of time looking out the window at the cars while we wait for the phones to ring. Travel Mahi is basically just a few of us in a small room with some computers. We spend our days looking for flights and trying to fix itineraries when things go wrong for a traveler. No.23/1 is our address, and it is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens sometimes. We handle bus tickets, train bookings, and international trips too. It is mostly about helping people who do not want to deal with the websites themselves. Richmond Road is a busy spot, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the windows. We have been here for a while and we know the regulars who stop by to pick up their printouts. It is not a high-tech setup. We have some old maps on the wall and a lot of messy piles of paper on the desks. Sometimes we stay late because of the time differences with other countries. We just try to make sure people get their tickets and know where they are going. It is a lot of double-checking names and dates so nobody gets stuck at an airport. It is basic work, but it keeps us busy from morning until evening in the heart of Bangalore.
