Our tea place is out in White Field at Lake View Farms on Varthur Road. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the city, but it's much quieter out here. We have a lot of greenery around us, which is nice because it keeps the air a bit cooler. We just serve tea and maybe some snacks if we have them ready. The farm is a bit dusty sometimes, especially when the wind picks up. It’s not a polished cafe like you see in the malls. We have wooden benches and some old tables that have been around forever. My wife usually handles the brewing while I look after the guests. We get a lot of people on the weekends who just want to see some trees. It’s a slow kind of place. We don’t rush anyone. If you want to sit for two hours with one cup, that’s fine with us. Sometimes the power goes out, so we just light some candles and keep going. It’s pretty basic, really. We don’t have a big menu with fancy names for everything. It’s just good tea. We’ve been here for a while and haven't changed much. People seem to like it that way. It's just a small spot on Varthur Road where you can hear the birds instead of the horns for a change. It is far from the city noise, and that is mostly why we stay.
