Tirupati Yarns

We are located up on the third floor of the Gokul Arcade A-Wing, specifically in room 304. Subhash Road in Ville Parle East is always moving, so there is plenty of noise from the street coming up to the office. Tirupati Yarns is a small operation, really. We spend most of our time on the phone or dealing with the bags of samples that come in from the mills. There are cones of yarn tucked into the corners and stacks of paperwork on the desks. It’s not a fancy showroom by any means. It’s more of a place where we manage the logistics of getting material from one place to another. We’ve been in this building for some time and the elevator is sometimes a bit slow, so we end up taking the stairs. The morning starts with checking what arrived and what needs to go out to the local weavers or manufacturers. It’s a lot of checking colors and weights to make sure everything matches what was asked for. Our neighbors in the arcade are mostly other small businesses, so it’s a friendly enough atmosphere. We don’t do big advertisements or anything. Most people who work with us have been doing so for years. It’s just steady, everyday work in the textile trade. We close up once the day's orders are sorted out and the transport is arranged for the next morning.
