Tirupati Plywoods

Tirupati Plywoods sits right on the 4th Cross in the New Timberyard Layout area. It is just off the main Mysore Road at the 0.375 mark. Being located in a timberyard layout means we are basically surrounded by wood and sawdust all day long. The smell of fresh timber is pretty much stuck in our clothes by the time we finish work and head home. The 4th Cross can get a little tight and congested when several delivery vans arrive at the same time. We spend a good chunk of our day shifting heavy boards from one pile to another just to find the specific sheet someone asked for. It is a very simple setup here with high ceilings and some old metal racks. The floor is made of concrete and stays covered in a thin layer of fine wood dust no matter how many times we try to sweep it up. We have been in this specific part of Mysore Road for a long time. The neighbors are mostly other small shops doing the same kind of work. We usually go out and have some hot tea together in the late afternoons when the pace slows down. There is no fancy lobby or air conditioning here. You just walk in and see the stacks reaching way up toward the roof. We keep track of our daily business in some old notebooks. Rain makes the yard outside a bit messy, but we just keep moving.
