Tirumala Granites

Tirumala Granites is situated at Sai Plaza, which is at number 22 on Bannerghatta Road. It is a very busy part of the city, and the traffic outside never really seems to stop. Our shop and office are right there, so we see all kinds of people passing by throughout the day. We deal with granite slabs and stone work, so the place often has a bit of stone dust around, no matter how much we sweep. We have some samples of different colors and textures leaned up against the walls for people to look at. The desks are pushed to the side to make more room for the stone. It’s a heavy business, so there is always a lot of lifting and moving things around. We wear practical clothes because things can get messy. Bannerghatta Road is a good place to be, even with the noise, because people find us easily. We have a small back room where we keep our tools and a little stove for making chai. The staff here is like a small family. We don't have a big marketing department or anything; we just show people the stone and tell them what we have in stock. It’s straightforward work. We spend a lot of time talking to builders and people working on their houses. The big delivery trucks usually arrive late at night when the road is a bit clearer for them to park.
