You can find us at 34, Strand Road. If you’ve ever been down this way, you know it’s an old part of the city with a lot of history and a lot of dust. We deal in bearings, which sounds simple but there are thousands of different types and sizes. Our shelves are pretty much packed from floor to ceiling with small boxes. It gets a bit greasy sometimes because that is just the nature of the parts we handle. We have been here at this address for a long time, and the building shows its age, but it’s sturdy. Customers usually come in knowing exactly what they need, often holding a worn-out part in their hand to show us. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or checking the back room to see if we have a match. It is not the kind of place with air conditioning or soft carpets. It is a workspace. We talk to mechanics, factory owners, and even people just trying to fix a machine at home. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk, while other days everyone seems to need something at the same hour. We don’t do much in the way of fancy branding. We just focus on having the right bearings in stock when someone’s machine breaks down. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We keep things simple and just try to help.
