Tippu Noor Mutton Stall

We are located down in Neelasandra at Nagdevi 54. It’s Tippu Noor Mutton Stall. Every morning starts the same way with the cleaning. You have to keep a meat shop very clean or it just doesn't work out. I’ve been working with knives and meat for a long time so it's second nature to me now. The shop is right there on the street and you can hear the bikes zooming past all day long. Sometimes the traffic in Neelasandra gets so bad that the delivery trucks are late but we just wait it out. It’s a small space, nothing like those big supermarkets you see in the malls. We have our regulars who come in every week for their usual cuts. I know most of them by name or at least by what they like to buy. Dealing with fresh mutton means you can't really take many days off. It's a seven-day-a-week kind of job if you want to keep things moving. The walls are plain and we don't have any big posters or fancy lights. Just the chopping blocks and the scales. My apron gets dirty pretty quick but that's just the trade. It gets hot in the afternoons but the fan helps a little bit. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
