If you know Hosur Road, you know how the traffic can be, especially around Electronic City Phase-2. We are located at 39-42, which is a pretty large patch of ground compared to some of the smaller units nearby. Most of us spend a good chunk of the morning just trying to get through the main gates and finding a place to park. The building is solid, built for work rather than looking pretty for visitors. We have several sections inside where different teams are doing their own thing. It can get a bit loud in certain areas when the heavy equipment is running, but you get used to it after a week or two. There is a lot of concrete and metal everywhere you look. We have a cafeteria where most people hang out around noon, and the food is okay, nothing special but it fills you up. The shifts change over in the afternoon, so there is always a lot of movement in the hallways. Sometimes the elevators are slow, so we just take the stairs to get between floors faster. It feels like a small city inside a big city. We’ve got people who have been working here for twenty years and some who just started last week. It’s a mix of different backgrounds all trying to keep the machines running and the schedules on track. It’s a practical environment where people just focus on what needs to be done.
