Our place is situated at 39/42 in Electronic City. Even though people think of this area as just being full of glass buildings and IT offices, we have a very different setup here. It’s more of a functional space. The facility is large and we have a lot of movement throughout the day. It’s not the kind of place where people are sitting in cubicles all day. There is a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections. The commute to Electronic City can be a real pain with the tolls and the long stretches of road, so most of us get here early. The building itself is sturdy and built for purpose. We have a canteen where everyone gathers for lunch, which is probably the loudest part of the day. We don't really go for fancy decorations or anything. The focus is always on the machines and making sure everything is running the way it should be. It can get a bit repetitive, but there is a rhythm to it that everyone understands. Safety is something we talk about a lot because of the nature of the work. You see people in uniforms and heavy boots everywhere. It’s a busy environment, always humming with some kind of activity. We finish up our shifts and head out, usually seeing the sunset over the flyover. It’s just a steady, working-class atmosphere here.
