Times Job

Times Job operates out of Chembur East, specifically at 17 Mahatma Gandhi Road along the Sion Trombay Road. It’s a very noisy intersection and you can hear the traffic from the main road all day long. The office is tucked away in a building that has seen better days, but it gets the job done for what we need. We spend a lot of time on the phones or looking at computer screens. People come in and out all day asking about work or dropping off their details. The air conditioning in the back room is a bit moody, so we usually keep the windows shut to block out the dust from the street. It’s a busy environment because Chembur is such a hub for people traveling through. We have a small corner where we keep the water cooler and some plastic chairs for visitors. There isn’t much decoration on the walls, just a few calendars and some notes tacked up with tape. Working on MG Road means we are right in the middle of everything. Lunch usually comes from one of the stalls downstairs because nobody has time to cook. It’s not a glamorous office with glass walls, but it’s where we do our thing every day. We just try to stay organized and keep track of all the names and numbers that come across our desks. That’s pretty much the daily routine here at number 17.
