Thomas

Thomas is the name on the shop here at 785 Byappanahalli. We are on Katodra Road No 33/2, which is quite close to the 2nd Stage bus stop. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. It is a very local kind of place. The shop itself is nothing special to look at. We have some old shelves and a counter that has been here since we opened. I spend most of my time standing there or moving things around in the back. The area gets quite busy during the commute hours. People often drop in while they are waiting for their bus to arrive. We have a lot of different things scattered around, and sometimes it takes me a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. The floor is concrete and it gets quite cold in the winter months. We have a small radio that plays in the background to keep things from being too quiet. I don't really have a big plan for the business. I just open the shutters in the morning and close them at night. It is a practical way to spend the day. Most of the people who come in are from the neighborhood or they work nearby. We know a lot of them by name. It is just a regular life here on Katodra Road, keeping the shop going and talking to the people who stop by.
