Thirumala Transport

Thirumala Transport is located over in Devanahalli Wilson Garden. If you know where the petrol bunk is, we are right near there. It’s a good spot because trucks need fuel and we are always moving things around. We’ve got a bit of space for the vehicles to park. Transport is a tough business with a lot of long hours. We spend a lot of time on the phone making sure loads are picked up and dropped off on time. It gets greasy and loud sometimes with the engines running, but that is part of the job. We handle all sorts of goods. Some days are slow and other days we can't keep up with the calls. We don't really have a big corporate office, just a room where we keep the logs and talk to the drivers. The petrol bunk nearby is a landmark for most people coming to find us. We've been operating out of Wilson Garden for a while now. You’ll usually see a few of us standing around talking about the routes or the weather. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We make sure the tires are good and the drivers are ready to head out. Moving things from one place to another sounds easy until you actually have to do it every day. We just keep the trucks moving and hope for no flat tires or engine trouble.
