Thibbadevi Tent House

We’ve been here at Kathriguppe for a good while now. Our place is on Katriguppa Main Road, number 6, right where all the noise and traffic usually happens. It gets pretty busy around here especially on weekends when people are planning weddings or small house parties nearby. We mostly deal with setting up tents, getting chairs ready, and making sure the lighting is okay for whatever event is going on. Sometimes we are running around early in the morning to load the trucks and other times we’re just sitting here waiting for someone to drop by and ask about prices for a hundred chairs or a big green carpet. It isn’t fancy work but it keeps us busy. The shop is easy to find if you know this part of the road. We try to keep everything tidy but with all the poles and heavy fabric it gets messy fast. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult because the cloth takes forever to dry out after a big function. People know us in this neighborhood because we’ve been around. We just do our job and go home. If you walk past number 6 you’ll likely see some of our guys loading stuff or just having tea. It’s just how things go day to day here in Kathriguppe. We don't have a big office or anything, just the space for the gear and a place to talk. It's a simple life but it's ours.
