The Rice Company India Pvt. Ltd.

So we are down here at 7, Lgf in Vasant Vihar, right on Paschimi Marg. The Rice Company India Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this basement space for a while now. It’s not a fancy glass office or anything like that, just a regular place where we get the work done. Dealing with rice means a lot of paperwork and phone calls to different parts of the country. Being in Vasant Vihar is okay, though parking can be a bit of a headache sometimes if you arrive late in the morning. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, computers, and samples of grain sitting around in small bags. We spend most of our day talking to suppliers and making sure the bags get to where they need to go. It’s quiet enough down here in the lower ground floor, which helps when things get hectic with the logistics side of things. People walk past on the street above and probably don’t realize how much rice we’re moving through the system from this one spot. We don’t really do much advertising or anything because the business mostly runs on old contacts we’ve had for years. It is just a handful of us here, making sure the orders are right and the quality is what it should be. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks when the office feels a bit too cramped. It's just a normal day-to-day operation for us.
