The Mobile Stores

The Mobile Stores is situated in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, right next to the Punjab National Bank ATM at 3/335. Being right by the ATM means there are always people walking past our door. Our shop is quite narrow, so we have to be careful about how we arrange the display cases. Most of the time, we are busy showing people different phone covers or explaining how a specific charger works. The glass on the counters gets covered in fingerprints pretty fast, so we are always wiping them down with a cloth. It’s a bright little spot, even if the floor tiles are a bit chipped near the entrance. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when things go quiet for a few minutes. We get a lot of people coming in just to ask for directions or to break a large note after using the ATM next door. The air conditioner makes a bit of a buzzing noise, but it keeps the place cool when the afternoon sun hits the front window. We keep a stack of boxes in the back that we need to sort through eventually when we have some spare time. It’s a simple neighborhood shop where we see the same faces every week. We don't do anything fancy, just provide what people need for their phones and keep things running as smoothly as possible.
