The Indo-Asahi Glass Co. Ltd.

We’ve been over here on Hungerford Street for quite a while now. The building at number 3 is where we handle the glass side of things. It's mostly about getting the sheets cut right and making sure the orders go out to whoever needs them. People call us when they're looking for specific types of glass, and we just try to get it sorted without too much fuss. Working with glass is tricky because it breaks if you look at it wrong, so we spend a lot of time packing things carefully. The office isn't anything fancy, just a place to get the paperwork done and talk to the guys in the warehouse. Sometimes it gets busy and a bit loud with the trucks coming in, but that’s just how it goes in this part of town. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here doing the same work. It’s a steady job, and we take it one day at a time. If you drop by, you’ll probably see a few of us moving crates around or checking the inventory lists. We don't really do the whole big corporate thing. It's just us at The Indo-Asahi Glass Co. Ltd. trying to stay on top of the orders. Mostly we just focus on making sure the glass gets where it needs to be in one piece. We keep the kettle on for when things slow down a bit.
