The Design Furnitures

We are located over in Krishnanagar, Kalikari Village, specifically at 5 Banaswadi 4th Cross. If you find the Om Shakthi Temple, we are very close to that. Our shop is where we spend our time making and fixing up furniture. It’s a lot of wood shavings and the smell of varnish around here most days. We make things like cupboards, tables, and sometimes bed frames if someone asks for one. It isn't a big showroom with lights and sales people. It’s more of a workshop where we actually build the stuff. We have saws and hammers and a lot of wood stacked up in the corner. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when we have several orders going at once. We don't really follow big trends, we just make things that are sturdy and will last a long time in someone’s house. People from the village and the nearby parts of Banaswadi come to us when they need something specific for their home. We talk about what they want and then we try our best to build it. It takes time because it's just a few of us working with our hands. We aren't trying to be the biggest furniture store around. We just like working with wood and seeing a finished chair or table go out the door. It’s a simple life and a simple business here near the temple. We usually have sawdust on our clothes by noon.
