Tele Point is a small shop tucked away in Kengeri 19207. If you come by, you’ll see me or my cousin sitting behind a glass counter filled with mobile screen protectors and various colorful phone cases. It’s a tight space, barely enough room for three people to stand at once without bumping into each other. Most of the day is spent peering through a magnifying glass at tiny circuit boards or trying to peel off a broken tempered glass without cutting our fingers. People bring in phones that have been dropped in water or screens that look like spiderwebs after a fall. We have a bunch of chargers plugged into a power strip along the wall to test things out. The shelf behind us is crowded with old phone boxes and spare batteries that we’ve collected over the months. It’s noisy because of the main road nearby, and we usually have a small radio playing some local songs to pass the time. We do a lot of recharges for people who still use the scratch cards or just need a quick top-up for their data. Sometimes the internet is slow and we have to wait for the system to catch up while the customer stares at us across the counter. It’s a simple life, just fixing what’s broken and selling a few accessories here and there. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name above the door and some posters.
