Tango Sandwich Corner

Tango Sandwich Corner is located at 102/1 in Basaveshwara Nagar. It’s just a small corner shop, really. We spend most of our mornings slicing bread and prepping the fillings. The toaster gets a workout every single day. We don’t have much room for seating, so a lot of people just stand around or take their food to go. It gets pretty frantic around lunchtime when the office crowd shows up. We try to keep up, but sometimes there's a bit of a wait. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking here, just putting stuff between bread and heating it up. My brother and I run the place, and we’ve had to learn everything as we go. Some days the onions make us cry while we’re chopping, and other days we’re just tired from standing. But it's our own thing. We’ve been at this spot for a few years now. The neighborhood knows us. We see the same school kids every afternoon. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy. Just the smell of toasted bread usually lets people know where we are. It’s a bit cramped behind the counter, but we make it work. We just want to get through the day and make sure nobody leaves hungry. It’s honest work and we like being part of the street here. There’s always something happening outside the window to keep us entertained while we work and wait for the next person to come by.
