That’s because we are almost always out on the road or working from wherever we happen to be. Consulting for us means being where the problems are, so sitting in a fixed office all day didn't make much sense. We’ve been operating this way for a while and it seems to work for the kind of stuff we handle. When someone calls the mobile, they get one of us directly. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room with old magazines. It’s just us and our phones. We deal with various service requests and try to sort out whatever issues our clients are facing. Sometimes the phone rings at odd hours, but that’s just part of the deal when you’re a mobile-based business. It keeps our costs down and lets us move faster. We spend a lot of time in our cars or at coffee shops having meetings. It might sound a bit unorganized to some, but we keep a very tight schedule on our digital calendars.
