You can find T. K. Ferro Wires (P) Ltd. at 10 Doctors Colony on Dr. Radhakrishnan Road in Gandhipuram. It is a bit of an older building in a part of town that has changed a lot over the years. We handle all sorts of ferro wires and steel products here. There is almost always the sound of wire being coiled or straightened coming from the back. It is a rhythmic noise that we do not even notice anymore. Gandhipuram is a very busy area, and our street sees a lot of foot traffic and vehicles. We have trucks coming by to pick up heavy coils throughout the day. The office is a small room in the front with old desks and stacks of paperwork. We do things the old-fashioned way for the most part. My father started this business, and some of the men working here have been with us for twenty years or more. We know the other business owners on the road and we usually chat when we are out on the sidewalk. It is a straightforward operation. We make the wire and we sell it to the people who need it.
