Switch International

Switch International is located on the first floor of a building at 128-133, 3rd Cross Street in Nehru Nagar, Kottivakam. It’s not a flashy place at all. You have to walk up some narrow stairs to get to us. Once you are inside, it’s mostly just a workspace with a lot of components and boxes piled up. Being in Kottivakam means we are close to the main road but tucked enough away that it’s mostly just our neighbors around. We deal with various electrical parts and switches, hence the name, and our days are spent counting stock and filling out orders. It gets pretty humid here, so we usually have the windows open to catch whatever breeze comes off the coast. We aren't a corporate giant with a PR department. We are just a group of people working in a busy office in Chennai. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to hear the crows outside. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we know the area well. There is a small shop downstairs where we get our snacks. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just come in, handle the logistics, and make sure the right boxes get to the right people. It is simple, everyday work that keeps us on our toes and we have been doing it for years.
