You can find us at Mathikere, right near Kailash Chowk at number 64. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always the sound of horns and people talking right outside our door. We’ve been in this building for quite some time now. The front door is heavy and sometimes sticks when the weather is damp. Inside, it’s mostly functional. We have some old wooden tables and shelves that have been here since we opened. We do a lot of our business by hand, writing things down in ledgers because it’s just easier that way for us. It’s not a polished corporate office. There’s usually a stack of newspapers on the side table and some umbrellas left behind by people who visited during the monsoon. We know most of the shopkeepers on this block, and we often share news over the fence in the back. The ceiling fan is old and wobbles a little, but it keeps the air moving. We spend our days answering the phone and dealing with the various bits of paperwork that come through Surya Corporation. It’s steady work. We don’t have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just show up, open the doors, and do what needs to be done until it’s time to go home. It’s a simple life here in Mathikere, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
