We've been here on Bonfield Lane for a long time now. Most people know the spot at number 12. It gets busy during the morning hours when the trucks start rolling in. Dealing with metals isn't always the cleanest job, but it's what we do every day. We handle a lot of different materials. Some days it's mostly copper scrap, other times it is piles of iron. The staff here knows the routine well. We don't spend much time sitting in the office because there is always something to weigh or move around. It's a bit noisy around here with the sorting and the metal clanging, but that is just part of the atmosphere on this street. We try to keep things organized as much as possible, though the yard fills up fast. People come by to drop off stuff or check what we have in stock. It’s a straightforward operation. We just focus on the inventory and getting the weights right. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when it rains and the ground gets slick, but we keep moving. We are just a group of people working with metal. No fancy bells or whistles here. Just a warehouse and the scales. If you walk down the lane, you can't miss us. It’s been our home for years and the neighbors are used to the sound of the crane. We keep it simple.
