Sunrise Provision Stores

Sunrise Provision Stores is a small shop tucked away in Kanteeravanagar at number 12. We’ve been serving this little pocket of the neighborhood for as long as I can remember. The shelves are packed with all sorts of things, from soaps to big bags of grain. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than two people are inside at the same time. We know almost everyone who walks through the door, and we usually know what they need before they even ask for it. Sometimes the kids come in after school to buy sweets with their pocket money. The counter is an old wooden thing that’s been smoothed down by people leaning on it for years. We don't have a computer system or anything; we just write everything down in a notebook. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the door wide open to catch any breeze. My father started the store, and now I’m the one looking after it most days. We get our deliveries early in the morning, and it takes a while to get everything stacked up where it belongs. It’s a quiet kind of life, but it’s good to be a part of the community here. We aren't looking to expand or do anything big. We just want to keep the shop running at number 12 like it always has. Sometimes we run out of things, but we just get more the next day.
