We are situated at 221, 2Nd Kumbharwada, on the ground floor. Being in Kumbharwada means we are surrounded by metal shops and small foundries. Our place is basically a big room filled with stainless steel pipes, copper rods, and various metal fittings. It’s a heavy business. Every day involves a lot of lifting and moving stuff around so we can get to the pile at the back. The floor is usually covered in a bit of oil or metal shavings. It’s not the kind of place where you would want to wear your best clothes. We don't have a sales team or any polished brochures. When someone comes in, they usually have a list of specifications, and we just go through the racks to see what we have. If we don't have it, we tell them honestly rather than making them wait. Most of our customers are small-time fabricators and repair shops from around Mumbai. It’s a very direct way of working. We open early because that’s when the pickups happen before the traffic gets too bad. The noise of the street is constant—hammers hitting metal and trucks reversing. It’s a tough environment but it’s what we know. We’ve been at this address for years and have seen the neighborhood change, but the work we do stays pretty much the same. We just provide the raw materials people need to build things.
