Suchi Departmental Store

We have been running Suchi Departmental Store at Vidyaranyapura 144 for quite a while now. It is just a regular shop where people from the neighborhood come to pick up their daily groceries and small household items. The shelves are usually packed with everything from bags of rice and dal to those little snacks that the school kids like to buy in the afternoon. Sometimes the place gets a bit crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work, and we are scurrying around to help everyone find what they need. We try to keep things organized, but honestly, there might be a cardboard box sitting in the aisle for a few minutes while we restock. It is just the way things go here. Most of the people who walk through the door are neighbors we have known for years. We often know exactly which brand of tea or soap they want without them even having to say a word. The morning starts early for us, getting the milk packets ready and sweeping the front step before the sun gets too high. It is not a fancy place, just a plain, honest store where you can find the basics for your kitchen. We deal with different suppliers every day to make sure the stock stays fresh. If something is not on the shelf, we usually have more in the back. The lights are bright, the floor is simple tile, and there is always a bit of chatter near the counter. It is just a busy, normal spot in the community.
