Subhiksha

Our little shop is located on 36 Lal Musjid Street over in Shivajinagar. It’s on the A Cross lane, so it can be a bit hidden if you’re not looking closely. Shivajinagar is always busy, with people rushing everywhere and the sound of traffic in the background. We’ve been at this address for a while now, just doing our thing under the name Subhiksha. The space is small, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need inside. It gets a bit crowded when we get a fresh shipment in. We usually have to stack boxes nearly to the ceiling. It’s just how it is when you’re in a crowded part of the city. We don't have a big staff, just us and maybe a helper when things get really hectic. We open up early and stay late most days. The local tea stall guy knows us well since we're always there for a break. People from the neighborhood stop by to chat or pick up stuff they need. We don't bother with fancy displays or anything like that. If you want something, you just ask and we find it for you in the back. It’s a practical way to work. Working in Shivajinagar means you have to be quick on your feet. Sometimes the street gets blocked by a truck, and we just have to wait it out. It's all part of being in this part of town. We just keep going regardless of the noise.
