Steel Scrap

Steel Scrap is out at 48/39, Sj Farms, near the Dubhasipalya Rvc Port on Mysore Road. It’s an interesting spot because you’ve got the farms on one side and the busy highway on the other. Our yard is where all the action happens, with piles of old metal waiting to be sorted out. It’s a dirty job, and we’re usually covered in grease or rust by the time lunch rolls around. Mysore Road is always packed with traffic, so we hear the constant zoom of cars and trucks passing by. We have a small office shed on the property where we weigh everything and handle the cash. It’s not a place for someone who likes to keep their shoes clean. We’ve got a couple of big machines for moving the heavier scrap around, and the sound of metal hitting metal is the soundtrack to our day. Sometimes it gets a bit muddy when it rains, and that makes things twice as hard, but we just keep at it. People bring us all sorts of things, from old pipes to broken machinery. We just take it all in, sort it out, and send it where it needs to go. It’s a rough-and-tumble environment, but it’s what we do. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the gates and get to work every morning. It's just a matter of moving the metal and keeping the yard clear.
