Our place is over in the Jay Bharath Industrial Estate in Yeshwantpur. We are in block B 6, which isn't hard to find once you get inside the estate gates. It’s mostly just a lot of steel and heavy equipment around here. We deal with different grades of metal every day. The trucks come in and out constantly, dropping off raw materials or picking up stuff we’ve processed. It’s a gritty kind of job, and it’s definitely not a clean office environment. There is always the smell of cut metal and a bit of rust in the air. We’ve been at this for some time now, just moving steel around and getting it ready for whatever the customers need it for. We don't have a big front desk or anyone to greet you with a coffee. Usually, you’ll find one of us near the loading area or back by the racks of pipes and sheets. The heat gets a bit much in the summer months under the tin roof, but we’re used to it. We keep track of everything on old clipboards and sometimes the whiteboard near the door. It’s just how we operate. We know the industrial estate can be a bit of a maze, but we like being here among the other workshops. It feels right for the kind of work we do with steel. We just keep our heads down and work.
