We are based at Visl House, which is at number 8 Jaya Chamarajendra Road, or JC Road as most people call it. Specifically, we are on the 4th floor. If you are coming down Kolte Park Road, you cannot miss the Bharath Petrol Bunk. We are right across from it. Working on the 4th floor gives us a bit of a view of the street, which is always packed with cars and spare parts shops. JC Road is famous for that. It is a very busy area, and the noise from the traffic is constant. Even though we are part of Steel Authority of India Ltd, this office feels like any other busy workplace in the city. There are stacks of files, old wooden desks, and people rushing around with papers. The building is an older one, so the stairs and the halls have that lived-in feel. We spend a lot of time on the phone or handling logistics. It is not the most modern office you will ever see, but it works for us. Across the street, the petrol bunk is a good place to tell people to look for when they are lost. We usually go down there or to a nearby stall to grab some tea in the afternoon. It is a long day sometimes, but being in the middle of JC Road means there is never a dull moment outside the window.
