Star Roadlines

Our business is located in the C M A Building at 20 Avenue Road. We are near Chandrika Lodge, which is usually the best landmark to give people if they are looking for us. Avenue Road is one of the most crowded and busiest streets in the city, so it is always a bit of a rush getting to the office. We handle roadlines and transport, so we are constantly dealing with trucks and cargo. The office is right in the middle of all the market noise. It is just a small room with a few desks and a lot of old logbooks stacked up. We have been in this building for many years now, and it definitely shows its age. There is always the sound of horns and people shouting outside the window, but you get used to that after a few days. We do not use any fancy software to keep track of things. We mostly rely on our notebooks and the telephone. We spend our time talking to drivers and making sure the loads are going to the right places. It is not a glamorous job at all, and the office is far from fancy. It is a bit dusty and there are papers everywhere, but that is just how we work. Most people in this area are doing similar work, so there is a bit of a community feeling. It is a tough business with long hours, but we have been doing it long enough that it feels natural.
