Star Fasteners

If you know Sadar Patrappa Road, you know it is a tight squeeze. We are Star Fasteners at number 17. Our shop is packed floor to ceiling with bins of bolts, screws, and every kind of fastener you can think of. It is a bit of a maze in here, to be honest. We have got rows of metal shelves that have been here since we opened. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find a specific size if it is tucked away in the back, but we usually know exactly where everything is. It is dusty work, handling all that hardware all day. Your hands get pretty dirty by lunch. We get a lot of contractors and local builders coming in looking for specific threads or lengths. It is a lot of counting and bagging small parts. The street outside is always crowded with carts and people moving stuff, so it is never quiet. We like the energy of the market, though. It keeps us on our toes. We do not have a website or anything like that; people just know to come to the physical shop when they need something held together. We have lived and worked around this road for years. It is just a basic hardware business. No frills, no fancy displays, just boxes and boxes of steel and brass. We open early and stay until the sun goes down, just like everyone else.
