Standard Steel Furniture is situated at 36 Jaya Chamarajendra Road, which most people around here just call J C Road. This area is famous for being one of the busiest commercial hubs, and our shop is right in the thick of it. The smell of metal and the sound of traffic from the main road are things we deal with every single day. Inside the shop at number 36, we have all sorts of steel cupboards, racks, and desks lined up. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when new stock arrives and we have to move things around to make space. People walk in from the dusty street looking for something sturdy that will last them a long time. We spend a lot of time cleaning the glass surfaces and wiping down the steel because the road outside brings in a lot of grit. It is a very hands-on job, moving heavy furniture around and making sure every drawer and lock works properly before someone takes it home. The afternoon sun hits the front of the shop quite hard, making the metal feel warm if you lean against it. J C Road never really sleeps, and there is always someone honking outside or a cart being pushed past our door. We just focus on the work at hand, helping whoever comes through the door and keeping the shop running smoothly through the daily hustle and bustle of the city.
