St John'S Medical College

If you ever find yourself in Johnnagar, you’ll see the gates of St John’s. It’s been here a long time, and the place has a certain feel to it that you don’t get in newer buildings. The trees are huge and provide a lot of shade, which is lucky because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. Inside, it’s a mix of students rushing to lectures and doctors heading to the wards. It’s a medical college, so the atmosphere is usually a bit serious, but you still hear people laughing in the canteen. The brickwork is old, and some of the corridors seem to go on forever. We spend our days dealing with a lot of different things, from library books to lab results. It’s not the kind of place that looks like a five-star hotel. It’s practical. There are notices pinned all over the boards, and some of them have been there for months. Johnnagar is a quiet enough spot compared to the rest of the city, but once you step inside the college grounds, it’s a different world. We don’t have fancy slogans. We just have people who show up every day, do their shifts, and go home. The nights are quieter, obviously, but even then, there is always someone awake, checking on things or studying in a corner somewhere. It’s just how this place functions. It’s busy, it’s a bit messy, and it’s very real.
