St Annes Primary School Cambridge Road

St Annes Primary School is situated at No 2 on Cambridge Road in the Ulsoor area. It’s an old part of the city and our school has been here to see a lot of it change. We only handle the primary years, so the building is always full of little children and their energy. The mornings are usually a bit of a scramble with parents dropping off their kids at the gate. Ulsoor has a nice feel to it, especially being so close to the lake. Our school building itself is quite old and you can see it in the walls and the floors. We have a few trees in the small yard where the kids can play during their break times. It’s not a huge campus by any means, but it serves our needs well enough. The teachers we have here have been around for a long time. Some of them have even taught the parents of the kids who are in class now. We use traditional methods like chalk and blackboards because that’s what we know works for us. There isn't anything fancy or high-tech about how we do things. It’s a quiet, steady kind of place once the lessons start. We just focus on the basic subjects and making sure the children are comfortable. It’s a simple school for the local community and we just keep doing our bit every day without much change.
