SSV Tent House

We’ve been running SSV Tent House here on Horamavu Nanpura Main Road 6 for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot and the traffic never seems to let up outside our door. Most days, you’ll find us sorting through stacks of chairs or checking the fabric on our canopies to make sure there aren't any big tears. This isn't some fancy office with a receptionist. It’s just a practical space where we keep all the gear for weddings and small local parties. Sometimes the dust from the road gets on everything, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. It's physical work, lifting heavy iron poles and loading up the truck at five in the morning. We know the neighbors well and they usually just drop by when they need something for a housewarming or a birthday. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who know how to tie the knots right so the tents stay up if the wind picks up. The weather around here can be unpredictable, which makes the job a bit stressful during the monsoon. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still right here in the same spot. It’s nothing glamorous, just honest labor and making sure people have a place to sit and some shade when they gather. We don't bother with much advertising because word of mouth on this street usually keeps us busy enough throughout the month.
